The Journey: 2010 Mid Year June/July

So I started the year with by saying that I've been to Paris, Rome, London, Cape Town, The Klein Karoo, Spain and New York, but that this year I'll be traveling to ME. A journey that I've wanting to do for some time now. For most people traveling the world would be an easy task and a much enjoyable one, but traveling within ourself is probably one of the most difficult ones. So how do you plan, pack and embark on such a journey, WITHIN? I threw every guide book to self in a black bag and poured myself a glass of wine and decided to give myself this year – To write my own book with words to self. I started by letting my guard down, knocked down every wall I've ever build around myself to protect myself. I let the world and people see me for me. This isn't always the wise choice but it was MY choice. I've written a few new poems about this journey, so check back soon for those. Hopefully by the end of this year I'll have enough material to publish a new chapter. In the meanwhile:

1.Evil does exist, sometimes you find it disguised in people that say they are your friend. I've met a devil on this journey this year and he almost cost me my “mens-wees”
2.To truly like who you are, you have to like being with yourself. Just you.
3.Friends come and go – True friends stick like glue, even when you are doing everything possible to let them hate you.
4.Every person thinks that what they are going through is worse than what anyone else is dealing with.
5.Enjoying the moment is truly a gift. No past or future involved. Just the now.
6.Don't take anything for granted. Getting carried away is dangerous.
7.Don't allow the journey to ever end.
